Mom and I just wrapped up a quick four days checking in with the family back East. We arrived late Tuesday night. Wednesday we ran a few errands for Granny and went to dinner with the whole family at the Grand Lux Cafe. Thursday we ran a few more errands and then had dinner at Jane and Pete’s. Unfortunately Ben, Mom and I were eaten alive by bugs before moving onto the covered porch. I’m not sure if they were mosquitos or what, but they are certainly itchy. After dinner Judy, Mom and I stopped by Kohl's and found a few pairs of cute shoes. After he finished playing hockey, Ben sent me a text at 10:30PM and said he was up for some bowling. We had a fantastic time even though neither of us bowled particularly well. I’m not even sure what all we talked about but I know it was fun. I didn’t get back to Granny’s until after 1AM which led to a late wake-up on Friday. After we finally got going Mom and I went to lunch with the Thornburgs and followed that up with some shopping. That evening the whole family came to Granny’s for pizza and to watch the Eagles. Saturday afternoon Mom and I were back at PHL on our way home.
It’s always good to stop in to see the family. I’m not sure when our next trip to PHL will be. For the first time in nearly 20 years we won’t be going East for Christmas because of JT’s pending arrival. I am sure, however, that I’ll be blogging more heavily about my Italian adventure starting on September 10th!
Until then,
Katy
